Hi All

Just seen the latest Mac release on steam, sorry but is it the way to get business ?

PC owners get Black Ops ( Just by way of an example) what do we get, wait for it.

Farming Simulater 2011 - WHAT !!!!

Get the feeling they are taking the wassits out of Mac people ?

Ahhhh got it, they are going for the hamish market, no wait that's wrong they don't court technology....

Ever felt appeased ?

Your post makes no sense. Also, Steam is only a delivery platform, its up to developers (like Treyarch) to either develop or contract people (such as MacSoft) to port stuff to Mac OS.

Hamish, Heck Yea!

Speaking as the Grand PooBahh of the hamish market, I'd like to say that yes, they have taken the wassits out of my people.

Boot Camp/Windows>MacSteam>Native Mac Gaming.

MacSteam? What?

Steam is a content delivery platform. It's basically an app store for games. the programs you purchase on Steam *are* native Mac games. In fact, the games on there actually are native Mac games. Many, if not most, of the games you purchase in the store are not native Mac games- they are Windows games wrapped with Wine or Cider (a proprietary fork of Wine).

I don't mean to be rude (seriously, I want to know), but is English your first language?

Fool. It isn't up to steam what we get. It's up to the game developers. If the developers don't develop for mac, then you can't get it on mac. End of.

First off; it's not Steam's fault. Steam is an application. Valve make that application and control the content on it. It is also not Valve's fault for the content other people make. Want Carl of Duty: Black Cops? Go tell Activision.

What you can complain to Valve about is the lack of Episode 3, or any news of Episode 3.

well, here somebody complains....

what do you expect seriously? if you have only mac, forget about gaming even steam offers few games for mac, it is not still enough to compare with PC. if you really want to enjoy new games, forget about mac, buy PC. why? PC performs better than mac because it is optimized for gaming. mac is not. Or why don't you just buy damn console box if you really want to play it? if you think that mac is gaming machine, you are totally wrong, or stupid because PC is cheap, and gives you more high spec. but you don't like windows OS? I like both windows 7 and mac os x. they have their own advantage. at least for gaming, windows (PC) is still better. bootcamp is ok. but it doesn't perform well. my point is that you'd better get over it.

Windows market share is 7X-10X that of Mac OSX market share. Simple economics....game developers make games for platforms that make them the most money.

Why do you think Apple offers BootCamp?

I don't mean to be rude (seriously, I want to know), but is English your first language?

Hi Ya

Yes it is my first language.

I had partaken of a few beverages at the time old chap, and typed it in a kind of slangy
English so that ( Not wanting to sound rude, cough ) people like yourself could maybe
understand my anger better when I saw that rediculous Farmimg simulator game :D

I must remember NOT to post of forums after a few drinks, broke my own rules with this one.

why is it important that somebody's first language is English? I don't like people who argue with it. this is forum to discuss something you want. if everybody understands post, it is ok. what if you don't speak or write any language rather than damn english on different forum? if somebody argues with you, you will be OK? I don't think. so just leave them alone. this is not some nursery school. honestly, English is not my first. but I can write three different languages you don't. so respect somebody who can do that.

Might want to take your computer in for repair, it appears that your shift and enter keys don't function properly.

Turns out that English was the posters first language and his original post was quite difficult to understand. Sometimes you need to understand where the original poster is coming from to understand the post. I had assumed that the was from outside of the US and that whatever he was talking about made sense where he was from. Turns out he was blitzed and, well, out of his mind, and thus out of the country is about the same thing.

Being able to properly communicate with people is a good thing, no matter how many languages it is in. When someone posts something that makes little sense, if you know that English isn't their native language, you take more time to read and try to understand what they are saying. Whereas if someone is a native English speaker; and they type nonsense then you may just ignore them because either they are too lazy to write clearly, are not seriously trying to get information, or think they are deserved it. In all cases, ignoring them may be called for.

Taking pride in communicating your point and politely asking for help encourages others to reply. Thus understanding if someone does not have experience writing in the primary language used, is an asset because it is not expected for others to be as fluent. In this case, asking was deserved, because something wasn't right. Now that we understand the situation more; it makes a bit more sense.

Lfd2

I agree its quite funny that we get farm simulator!

But i am happy with Left 4 Dead 2 which is one of the most fun games I have ever played!

So if your peeved off that we get farm simulator, download LFD2 and take it out on some Window's players/zombies :D

Yeah, what a timing to release crap like that.

Actually, I'm almost tempted to buy the Farming Simulator to see just how ridiculous it is, but wait, no I'm not.

Installing bootcamp is the real solution if you want games and aren't satisfied with CoD4, L4Dead, Civilisation, Dragon Age and SC2.
