I have an early 2011 17" MBP I played "Driver San Francisco" in OSX last night on my friends projector (connected thunderbolt to hdmi adapter). To make it play on the external I set the external as the primary monitor, then when I finished I changed it back and disconnected the cable.

Today when I try launching the game the screen goes white, I hear the game running but can't see it. I can swipe back to the desktop and swipe back to the white screen but that is it. There are no available controls for setting primary display as I don't have one connected (and don't have access to one).

I think the game is trying to play on a monitor thats not connected but not sure.

Any ideas?

Fixed it.

Nothing to do with the external monitor. Its a bug, just need to turn of automatic graphics switching and it works. I think using it on an external monitor the first time made it confusing to figure out as this sidestepped the error (connecting external monitor automatically turns on dGPU).
