Hey All,

Thought it may be worth starting a Steam Sales / Daily Deals thread, somewhere where we can all give everyone each other a heads up to what games are on offer at any given time;

Tonight (6th August, as of 23:40 GMT) - The Darkness 2 is a daily deal and is both Windows and Mac compatible. It's normally £19.99 however is currently available for £4.99 - this offer will end at 18:00 GMT on Wednesday 7th August 2013

I've grabbed it and was hoping to do a video before the sale ends to give you a guys a preview but unfortunately I don't think I'll have enough time to make it by the time the sale ends :(

Anyway, I'll keep you guys posted on any OS X / Mac Compatible games that I see on offer! :apple: :apple:

Everyone! Amazon.co.uk has launched their online games download store.

They have a Mac section, and Borderlands 2 Season pass is £9.99!

BL2 season pass £9.99

Unfortunately, it's for UK customers only.

Thanks for this pointer regarding Amazon starting a digital store, another good reason why not to give money to those Steam people.

Well we have to note that a lot of the Keys from Amazon activate on Steam.

I don't find that an issue though, as the games, and DLC are cheaper at Amazon at the moment.

Also for those outside of the UK, if you add a UK address you'll be able to make purchases. Since it's digital keys there isn't any issue with anything being shipped.

I don't think Steam's all that bad to be fair, I've used it for years and its true that you can occasionally find games cheaper elsewhere BUT Steam also has some great daily deals and seasonal sales where you can really get some amazing offers!

I suppose its all down to preference and prior experience though - definitely need to check out Amazon's online/digital game store;

Another great website is Game Agent http://www.gameagent.com/

Game Agent can search for games and will give you;

1) A price comparison from numerous other sites/sources
2) Send you Deal Alerts
3) Match games to your Mac's System Specifications (You will get a clear understanding whether the game can run on your machine or not)

Be sure to check it out too! ;) :apple: :apple:

Classic gaming goodness on Steam for Mac!

Shadow Warrior Classic Redux is the daily sale and you can also get it bundled with Duke Nukem Megaton Edition for an even greater discount!

Great classic shooters and just a little over 5 bucks to get them both for Mac.

Personally, I love Steam and deals like this are just a part of why. I enjoy the social features that connect me to gaming friends and other stuff as well. :D

----------

X3: Terran Conflict and X3: Albion Prelude now on the Mac App Store for only 99 cents each! What a bargain!

These space trading games feature deep gameplay with a significant learning curve but can be a lot of fun for those willing to invest as is often the case with more complex games.

I'm not sure how long this little "Summer Sale" on these is going on so you might want to act fast if you want them.

X3: Reunion is also 99 cents but I'd advise avoiding that one based on user feedback and the fact that it is the oldest title of the three. It is said to have issues on Lion and I would not trust it personally.
