Universal SteelSeries Nimbus + Issues with Arcade Games

I have a subscription to Apple Arcade and had downloaded Crossy Road Castle. On my iMac (Big Sur) it played perfectly with the original SteelSeries Nimbus controller. I just picked up the updated version of the same controller - Nimbus+ - and the darn game won't recognize it. I can click the A button to get past the splash screen but after that nothing. The game still works perfectly with the original Nimbus controller and even with an X-Box controller that work with Apple Arcade.
And if I install the same game on my iPhone 12 and then set up the Nimbus+ controller with the iPhone, it works perfectly.
Any ideas/suggestions?

I would contact the developer to let them know about the issue.

Thanks but I already contacted them and Steelseries directly. Neither one was helpful at this point.
