So I bought my Air last week and love it. It's my first mac and it just keeps impressing me more and more. I'm now trying to go wireless as much as possible. I was looking into having my home stereo play wirelessly from my Air and I see I can do it if I have the Airport Express for $99 bucks. Problem is, I just bought the Time Capsule! Last thing I need is another router.

It's so annoying that they didn't put this wireless stream feature into the TC, but I understand that's how they get you. But I'm wondering if anyone knows any other way I can get my Air to wirelessly play on my stereo. I like to sit on my couch and listen to my iTunes or a website and not have to plug it into that little jack.

Other than buying a third-party product that costs about the same I don't really know of a way. I have an express and an extreme together in the same room for the same reason....

WOW I've been using SoundSource by RA for some time, but that last post lead me to download AirFoil... possibly not ideal for the OP's needs, but it's great software on both mac and PC...and quite smooth on my G network.

Thanks for the ideas. Airfoil looks really interesting. I was thinking for an extra 130 bucks maybe I'll just get the Apple TV since that seems to be able to do the trick as well, but it's features for the price just don't seem to cut it. I'll have to think about all this a bit more.
