I'm not so much concerned with with the quality as I am loudness.
Quality is important to an extent, though.
First and foremost you want to be able to hear the speakers. Quality matters as far as clarity is concerned. If it plays loud, but the loudness causes the sound to be dulled out, then that's no good. So quality and loudness matter somewhat.
But once loudness is decent enough that you can hear it comfortably in a small room from anywhere... not being too loud... for me, it's all about quality. Obviously I don't expect any bass. But if mids/highs are at least somewhat enjoyable, it's nice. I have my own home speaker system for listening to music... but it's always a bonus when a device is better at one thing or another
And to answer a question above, yes, it's stereo now. That's why I posted this thread. I was asking if that's an improvement of this model, or if the previous model did it. It's on their website if you go to view the specifications: They are advertising "stereo sound".
