How about Tim Cook? Do you think he will do the same?

For me, I doubt so. His impression to me now is just wanna sell and sell. Like don't bother much how buggy the new OSX, IOS than faster launch it. No doubt always will be beta let developer test etc.

Unlike Steve Jobs days, no much update here and there. Not much setting to meddle around here and there. is SIMPLE.

This is why make me go Apple even since I stop using Microsoft.

A product person enjoys seeing the positive reaction of consumers to their product while a sales person enjoys seeing the upward direction of sales numbers and revenue.

Steve Jobs may not be happy when the product he has envisioned gets a negative reaction but from what I can remember regarding iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s, he learns from it.

One thing for sure, Steve job times hardly the IOS , OSX get buggy and Less updates.

Hindsight is not always 20-20.
OSX 10.1 and 10.5 were largely buggy messes and generally speaking the more 10.x.x updates that were released were due to more bugs needing to be addressed.

Don't get me wrong, Tahoe isn't a shining beacon of bug free software, but its a bit myopic to say it was all unicorns and butterflies when Jobs was running apple - that simply wasn't the case.

Remember he was the one that said you're holding it wrong when the problems with iPhone 4 came out.

Well yeah to be " Fair " whenever there are a new IOS, OSX surely bugs will have, even despite they already beta testing before so call Official release. Just that I feel now Tim Cook in charge. He more wanna sell more indirectly like force people upgrade their old iPhone, iMac inject buggy IOS , OSX.....

My favorite quality of Steve Jobs was his willingness to take substantial risk. I dont see that with Apple anymore. Steve was a gangster & that curiosity that drove said risk made Apple innovative and great.

It's hard to be a gangster when someone is watching everything that you are doing. Apple under SJ was not even close to the Apple that TC built. At this point, Apple is so large and ubiquitous that everyone is trying to know what Apple will do next. Let's not forget, that rumors of the iPhone 18 were posted before the iPhone 17 was even released. I don't think Apple will be able to surprise anyone anymore.

well this year Apple do surprise us with that iPhone Air but to those non Apple fans already using a flat phone aka from Samsung. Just today I saw some review on XiaoMi 17 pro max. Gee the back screen and what a gaming case too which you can also play mobile games from that small screen like back in those days people play Nintendo Gameboy.

A lot claim XiaoMi like to copy Apple but in the way they Copy to make it even better. In fact last time the Japanese work like that back in early days. They always copy USA stuffs and modify it to make it even better.

Many of my former Apple colleagues have selfies with him visiting their stores. I don't know that he's hiding in the corner, but he's going into many.
Actually I thought maybe rumours but is kinda true. A lot reports claim he like to watch from far to see How consumers pick up those Mac products in the store and browse around. I happen watch one Marketing video. they do mention Apple store how it layout , those tables , deco does make , trigger consumer mood.
