"Now I just live in hope that, before it is too late, he will reach out to me, because even to have just one coffee with him just once would make me a very happy man," he said.
Jandali learned only in recent years that the son his ex-wife gave up for adoption 56 years ago grew up to be the Edison of his age.

I find it odd that people refer to Jobs as "Steve" - as if they knew him personally.

As I know nothing of his relationship with his biological father (and refuse to read anything in that rag the NY Post), I am ill equipped to comment on whether he should make contact with his father.

That being said, I don't think, in general, that clearing up things from one's past, at what appears to be the end of one's life, constitutes "living in the past". It may be addressing the past, ( that is not just semantics) but it is not "living in the past".

Just saying...

That's how we usually refer to a famous person even if we don't know them personally. What would you call Brad Pitt? Mr.Pitt? If everyone knows who is being talked about, there's really no need for the last name. Never really thought about it.

"I was very much in love with Joanne," he said. "But sadly, her father was a tyrant, and forbade her to marry me, as I was from Syria. And so she told me she wanted to give the baby up for adoption."

lol ... her Dad was a Tyrant?
