I went to the Apple Store at the CambridgeSide Galleria today, and there was this familiar-looking guy sitting in a bench in front of the store. He was looking into the store and jotting down notes or something. I swear I thought it was Steve Jobs. Who knows? I even walked by him twice to make sure, but I couldn't stare at him. That's rude.

Has anybody had similar experiences? Do you know if Steve checks on his stores regularly?

I didn't hear anything about him being here today yet, I'll check the news tonight, and there probably would have been a little bit more people and attention towards him if he were really there, who knows?

EDIT: Just saw that this was over a week ago, to the person who bumped this thread back to life, was that really necessary?

You should be! How DARE you actually respond to a thread!

I always think it's funny when someone gets mad at you because THEY did something foolish. It's like getting flipped off by someone in a car because THEY nearly hit you.

Anyway, yeah, I doubt it was Steve. There would have been a LOT more attention given to him had it been. I don't think Steve would be able to casually sit anywhere in public, let alone on a bench right in front of an Apple Store.

it's terrible - is there no ends he will go to to hunt down those MobileMe developers.

It's like Kill Bill all over again!

If you worked on MobileMe and live in Boston - watch out - your number's up!
