Really?

Really?

Really?

The amount of creepyness in these posts is....creepy....

I disagree. They're looking for a large and quality photo of Steve in admiration of him. Creepy would be if they were stalking him (while alive).

On topic, that's a good photo of him; one I hadn't seen before.

I think if you see it in the context of the "Celebrating Steve" video, you will appreciate it more... Norah Jones is singing " Forever Young" beautifully by Bob Dylan.

I know it's a image of a passed person, but it's still so moving and inspiring because we know what Steve stood for... I guess that's why Steve had images of Einstein (I think) at his home when he way younger.

EDIT: As SandboxGeneral says, it's in admiration of Steve, not a creepy shrine of him...

Yeah. He sold you mp3 players, phones, and a tablet.

Why does everyone admire him?

If you really want to have a pic of someone who actually changed the world, try henry ford or tesla

Because some of use see past the material that Apple sell and look beyond into what they stand for as a human entity... Can you think of anyone who works like apple on such a scale?

I guess it depends in your own views of life and personality how these things affect you... Try looking beyond a "purchase" and into the values of the people behind it.

If you have nothing positive to say about a dead man who changed millions of lives, then don't bother posting at all.

Also, whilst I appreciate the work of ford, they don't inspire the way I work or the things I do, nor is it as relevant as much in this decade as it was back then. I think it's great they allowed their workers to actually afford their products, something Chinese workers will probably be we get... I'm not trying to turn this into a political debate, I just wanted a photo!

On the day after the first anniversary of Steve's death, I will be choosing other images to use as my lock screens on the iPad and iPhone....but immediately after his death and ongoing through this year, having a photo of him on my devices just seemed....right somehow, my quiet little way of honoring him. Now, sure, if five years from now my devices were still sporting this same photo on the lock screen, yes, there would be reason for raised eyebrows and questioning looks.....

When the biography about Steve came out, I purchased it both on the iPad as an iBook and as a physical hard cover book in a B&M bookstore. I read the book all the way through on my iPad. It just seemed fitting, somehow....

Steve Jobs left a very distinct imprint on my life and I choose to acknowledge that and the man himself in the ways that I've done.... I really don't care what others think about this.

Very nice tribute. :) I read the book on my iPhone since I didn't have an iPad at the time.

Human entity? He was a salesman for tablets and phones, and over priced computers. ( Don't hate, I love my iMac, but I can't believe I blew 3 grand on it ) Apple is a giant company, they stand to make money. Thats it.

Maybe for some people, for me. He was selling a tablet, I already had one. It just wasn't made of metal and glass.

I own Apple Products, and I have for a long time. And I am free to state my opinion on anything apple related. If you have an issue with me not worshiping Steve jobs, talk to the Mods. I'm not saying he was a bad guy or anything, but he didn't change millions of life, in any other way than making it easier to play touch games and broswe the web on the pooper. Which is what I use my ipad for ;) ( just picked up an iPad 3 a few weeks ago, great pooper/couch device )

Also, whilst I appreciate the work of ford, they don't inspire the way I work or the things I do, nor is it as relevant as much in this decade as it was back then. What I am trying to get at it, is the Steve Jobs/Apple never really changed the world as we know it, they just introudced some very nice products that are very popular.

People like Henry Ford? He developed the model T himself, with a small group of people, saw the Mass Production line at the meat packing plant, did all the grunt work himself, and bourght us the Mass Produced car, no other car maker at the time had anything like it, so they all copied him, this led to mass produced cars and trucks, which led to massive road networks, which let people be mobile, it literally changed the lives of everyone in the entire world, in a MUCH bigger way than an iPad did.

Tesla? Invented and helped build the very power network that the entire world runs on.

I'm not saying steve jobs didn't change some things, he did. And he did put products into the hands of the consumer that might have taken longer to take off. I just don't think he deserves to be compared to people like Henry Ford and Tesla.

And I think its silly that anyone would keep a picture of him in their house. Outside of the book. He wans't your family, you didn't know him, and he didn't know you.

If a tablet made of glass and a metal phone really change your life that much, go for it. No judgement here, I just think its creepy.

I've used Windows for my work tasks pretty much my entire life, as a kid, in school, and in my career. Windows has been VERY helpful to me. It doesn't mean I'm gonna put a picture of Bill Gates on my phones lock screen, or a frame on my desk.

Exactly this. You clearly can't see beyond the products. That's fine, but I'm allowed my opinion too. I opened this thread for assistance in finding a portrait, not to have someone tell me that Bill Gates and Steve Jobs stood for the same thing...

This makes me so glad that everybody is different. I'm not even going to bother wasting my energy trying to elaborate on this. You see metal and glass, I and clearly others on here see the work of a group of extraordinary people.

That's it. Really? Don't you realise how many (disabled) people the iPad helps? Sure apple runs a video that is based on ideology, but there is a very good reason a lot of schools now used iPads in classes. You clearly can't see the value in anything Apple made id "you can't believe" that is was worth 3K. For me, changing to the Mac has literally changed my life. I used the computer for everything - using a clunky uninspiring windows computer is not how I can to produce my best work... I appreciate it a lot.
