Sticky for Jailbreak for iPhone 3GS?

Has anyone made a How-To or a Step-by-Step Process on how to jailbreak the iPhone 3GS? I didn't see anything sticked at the top so thats why I ask...

Or is it same as the 3G? Just curious what programs I need (for a Mac) and in what order to do what?

There is only one option for the 3GS right now, purplera1n.

Nevermind. Dev team released a new version of redsn0w. Though I may give purplera1n a try, I'm inclined to go with the dev team.

What's all the excitement about the Springboard and Winterboard I see lately? I'm guessing the Winterboard was something needed for the 3GS jailbreak? Not sure what each program does so thats why the confusion.

EDIT: Read the site at the Redsn0w link something about a loop-hole. Are they referring to something that will be in the 3.1 update to prevent future jailbreaking or try too at least? So jailbreak now with 3.0 or wait till 3.1 then jailbreak? Will you have to re-jailbreak after each Apple update?

GO TO iClarified, they have some good tutorials.

So Redsn0w is the PwnageTool but for 3GS?

Redsn0w is much simplier than PT. My guess is PT will not be updated since redsn0w is so easy.

Edit ---> Just saw PT 3.01 for Mac so it has been updated

It's an exploit that they are able to use to jailbreak or unlock the 3GS that is found in 3.0 only. What isn't clear to me is if you have upgraded to the 3.1 beta (as I have) if when you downgrade to 3.0 you will be able to use redsn0w.

It is similar quite similar to Pwnage.
