Still able to charge new M2 MacBook Pros via USB-C?

Hi,

I have a 16" M2Max MacBook Pro coming next week. In addition to the new Mag-Safe charging port, am I still able to also charge the laptop via USB-C? I actually prefer the latter since it gives me 4 ports vs three and can be charged from both sides.

So even though I will primarily use the dedicated port, it would be great to have the option...

You can charge it via any USB-C port or MagSafe. Just know that fast charging for the larger laptop only works via MagSafe, but charging speeds over USB-C are more than decent

Yes, only difference I believe is that only the magsafe port will take the 140W PD3.1 input at above 100W, so will charge a bit slower on other ports.

100% and important to those of us that like to connect the laptop to a monitor. One cable to charge and deliver signal. Very nice indeed.
