Am I the only one having memory leak issue on 12.1? I got M1 Max MBP but I'm not able to work due to memory leak issue on Final Cut Pro X and Blender. I have no idea what's going on with it. I thought they already fixed it.

Did you customize your mouse pointer size, colour, and shape? That was the culprit before. I am not sure if they have patched that problem yet.

Do you use an external monitor? I found that things were worse when I had it hooked up to external displays.
Things were real bad with 12.0.1 and external displays, but I’m having a lot more stability after upgrading to 12.1.

I'm still on 12.0.1 because of another annoying bug (Touch ID) and am waiting until they fix that bug before updating. My solution to the external monitor problem was to buy an Intel iMac 27.

I do. Gosh, Apple really need to work hard on their macOS for sure...

It is not a bug. Simple You need more memory for Final Cut PRO X & Blender.
128 GB will be ok.

That's not a current option on Apple Silicon.

I don't know how you can say that 128 GB would be enough for a workload that you don't know anything about.

I still see the memory leaks but I'm on 12.0.1 but they are there. It takes over a week for them to show up, though, so I just reboot when they do.

Just discovering the memory leak issue! I set up my brand new shiny 24 inch iMac with 16 gig memory and from the get-go it was in operable. It froze with one Word document and one Brave browser window open. Constantly restarting just to get anything done. Multiple tech-support calls involved running first aid, reinstalling the OS and it still crashes because apps are using way! Too much memory. Ultimately I sent it back to Apple for a replacement. I am learning from researching online many people are having this issue. As a diehard lifelong Apple fan, I am really disappointed and disillusioned. Especially the Apple is not recognizing the issue or offering a fix.
