For reasons unknown to me, I get notices of software updates on my iMac for software I've never had on my iMac. I did have Angry Birds on my iPhone4s for awhile, but I removed it. How do I stop these silly update notices?

Isn't there an ignore download setting somewhere, I am on Leopard and it's possible to ignore if you don't want.

I can probably shut off "notify me of software updates," but that would shut off all notifications. I just want to not receive update notices for these games.

Right clicking doesn't do a thing. Weird, eh?

Did you follow the second Link?

If so that's strange.

Also, now I think of it, have you tried clearing caches in your Library folder, just drag all Items in User/"your user name"/Library/Caches to the trash.
Logout and in again, empty trash and update, look if it's still there.

Thanks. I tried that. Apparently, Angry Birds are really angry, because they are still there.

Is the update available in iTunes, if so delete it from there, look what happens.

If that fails maybe you should install on the iphone again and then delete it again and look what happens.

Did you at some point in time load a cracked version of any app. If so those apps are probably associated to the person that did the crack.

Make sure the apps aren't in some unexpected location (even on an attached external drive!). Use Spotlight and search.
