Still Having Issues Selecting the Subtitles Button on Apple TV

I was hoping iOS 16 would have resolved this, but selecting the subtitles button while watching a show on Apple TV using the Control Center Apple TV remote is still an issue. I can sometimes get to it if I skip up several times, but most of the time, I can’t. Are there any tips or tricks to this, or is it just a bug?

Under "Settings" > "Accessibility" there is an option for the Apple TV remote to use directional buttons instead of swipe gestures. Maybe this can help?
