Still need Ipod with Iphone

I travel a ton for work, and thought the IPhone would be the device to replace both my old cell and Ipod. But with the lack of being able to play games on the IPhone, I find myself still bringing my ipod along. I have spent more hours playing Zuma and Poker on the Ipod while waiting on airplanes than I care to count. Who else still is carrying both devices because of the Iphones shortcoming?

I’m having to keep my Nano for running because 1: The iPhone is WAY too heavy and 2: Jack is on the top (needs to be on the bottom so when you pull out of pocket it is right side up) and needs a home made adaptor to plug my IEM’s in.

Sometimes you need to think about something else. That's when I get some of my best ideas. Always keep a little moleskin on me because when I least think about work, the breakthrough comes.

I have never thought about putting any music on my iPhone. My iPhone is for work only...

My iPod has all my songs and I plan on keeping it like that.

No sense in mixing the two.
 
i'm still carrying both.

my 60gb ipod has games and tons of file storage, which i need... and as a professional dancer, i never know when i'll need access to my entire music library, as opposed to just selections of it.

however i downloaded shareware today that will let me put files on the iphone so we'll see how much longer i really carry the ipod regularly.

i have a 1st gen shuffle that i still use for jogging.. i dont want to get caught in the rain with an expensive device.
 
If you're using the ipod for gaming why not get something like a DS? The DS Lite isn't a whole lot bigger than the iPod, the games are way better, and there are more games. Obviously it's a new expense, but to play games get a game player. (At least until the iPhone NES emulator is created)
 
I am keeping my nano for running. The Nike+ kit does not work with the iphone and the iphone is heavy and have you gotten a call right in the middle of a run when you are huffing and puffing:eek:??? That does not work.
 
I hate to admit it, but I'm also wishing for some games on the iPhone. The web 2.0 apps are alright, but they're just not the right solution. It's the times when the internet is unavailable that games become desirable.

The games I'm wishing for are (not necessarily in order of preference):

1. Sudoku
2. Mahjonng
3. Blackjack
4. Asteroids
5. Chess

I know this isn't a popular solution for you game nuts, but I'm guessing that Apple thought that up to 8 gigs of room for photos, music, podcasts, audiobooks, TV shows, and movies would fill that void.
