Anyone knows the ETA on this? It's pretty ridiculous that a resolution update should take this long given the fact that a lot of us are paying customers.

Version 2.1.0 is in testing for anyone using Test Flight. From the notes-

Spotify Notes said:
New: What are the people you follow listening to right now? Check out Top Tracks In Your Network, in Browse under Top Lists. (Rolling out to all users soon!)
New: Ever find yourself wondering what to play on Spotify? Introducing the Discover experience on iPad.
Update: We're optimizing for iPhone 6 Plus, with more improvements to follow. See the Forum for more info.
Known issue: Users with non-ascii characters in their username will not be able to follow artists.

In bold- I would assume this will also be an optimization for the 6 as well. Don't know when it will hit the App Store though. This test version was released on November 20th with a standard 30 day expiration.

I have not installed the test version, I'm still on the regular 2.0 build available in the store, but unless I'm going insane... it looks like it's actually got a slightly different layout from a week ago.

2.0.1 is not going to be optimized, trust me on this.
The update is going to come with 2.0.2 unfortunately.

Did you not read my post?

I have.
But contrary to what is said in the changelog, there will be no iPhone 6 optimization in this version.
The devs on the official spotify forum have said this.
Version 2.1.0 might be optimized in some ways but the most important thing everybody is waiting for, support for the new resolutions, will not be included.

My mistake. I myself didn't check the forum and simply assumed.

Hell I don't even know what difference any of that makes really.. it looks fine on my 6 as it is. Am I missing something or are my eyes just bad? I have 20/20 vision.

Ken, for example, the font looks too big. You will also notice the difference by comparing task bar in Spotify and Safari, for example. To make it simple - when they optimize for iPhone 6/6+, you will see more content in the screen.

Everything is a little too big, it’s not very bad, like WhatsApp was but could still use some ipproofements... The worst part about it is the size of the keyboard when searching, its very hard to type on...
