Anyone else still randomly lose cell connection using an X and Ios 12? I am on latest beta, will be at 5 bars, and randomly lose connection for up to 10 seconds or so. This is while moving, while sitting still, using random apps in the Cleveland Ohio area. Facebook for example will say no connection when i just had 5 bars. The bars will still show, then all go flat, then go back to the 4 or 5 i had before. Its almost like the cell is resetting or something. Anyone else having this issue still?

Yup it did it a few times on mine that I noticed. Twice on the same day I installed the GM. Once like right after it got done installing and later on in the day it randomly did it too. And one more time the other day. Must be a little bug. I’m on a 7.

Been doing it ever since i put the first 12 beta on a month or two ago

Wow actually it just happened to me when I left my house just a little while ago but it didn’t stop showing me bars. Showed I had service but it couldn’t activate the cellular network and I had no internet. Cycled airplane mode and nothing. Reboot and back to normal. Hmmm might be downgrading to 11.4.1 unless the pubic release is a different build number than the GM.

Happening more frequently today. Just did network reset and carrier settings update. Hoping for the best.
[doublepost=1537207807][/doublepost]So much for that theory, updated and it did it twice in a row. How can this not be a major bug they are trying to fix? Never had an iphone do this in the ten years i have had one.

iPhone X on iOS 12, AT&T. I keep losing cellular data when leaving WiFi. Airplane mode toggle does not fix. Only fix is to reboot phone. Carrier update today did not fix.

Happening constantly today. Using any app,not moving, have 4 or 5 bars, then drops to none for ten seconds and then starts responding again. Happening several times during a short surf of facebook. Tried reboot, reset network, etc. Nothing works. I cannot be the only one having this issue.

I have found the cellular service with iOS 12 and AT&T to be much slower than when I was on 11.4

I’m not sure who the culprit is here Apple or AT&T but this is terrible

I am of course using an iPhone X

I am sure it is just coincidental. But i removed the beta profile, then rebooted my X. No connection loss since, been about an hour now. No idea how this would affect cell loss of signal, but i have been hammering it for an hour in all apps and have yet to lose the signal like i was.

This is the exact sort of thing why I don't update to new software versions immediately anymore. Been burned one too many times before. Always wait a week or two at least anymore.

Day 2 after I deleted the beta profile. Still have had NO resets, for me at least, this has fixed the issue.

I wonder if your baseband is crashing. Check Settings > Privacy > Analytics > Analytics Data to see if there are any logs mentioning the baseband.

Mine happened when I lost signal and regained it. Then it said couldn’t activate cell network. I’m guessing 12.0.1 will be coming soon

Day 3 after removing the beta profile. No resets since. Been using it as hard as i can in all locations and apps, not one single disconnect/reset since deleting. Why that made a difference I have no clue, but so far so good.

Well, for me I’m still having very poor cellular reception as compared to 11.4

Still in the clear?? Happened to me again today. I deleted the beta profile right after installing the GM on the GM day.
