Is this possible?

Also, if I have a video which plays in QT how do I import it properly so I can play it on my Touch? When I try all all iTunes manages to show is a white screen with the sound.

Depends on where you play the video.

You can take screen shots via CMD+SHIFT+4 system wide in Mac OS X or let VLC take you a screen shot.

The iPod Touch supports the following formats:

H.264 video, up to 1.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Low-Complexity version of the H.264 Baseline Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; H.264 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 3.0 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

So you have to convert video files to those formats. Handbrake might be of help, as it has presets for the iPod.

Just because QT Player is able to play a video file, doesn't mean an iPod can, as there are add-ons like Perian or Divx/Xvid to let QT Player play even .avi files.
