I was thrilled and shocked that opera mini was approved for the iPhone.

Even though it's an iPhone-only app for now (as far as I can see), wanted to see if someone would please try it on the iPad and see how/if it worked with Googledocs.....

TIA!

Dang it, you had my hopes up.

But, no. It still seems to re-do the browser check when you click on an individual document.

This has got to be google at this point, yeah? Why are they doing this?

I just want a f'n cloud-synced grocery list. This is getting, pardon me, retarded.

I tried Opera this morning on my iphone

I deleted it this morning from my iphone. ;)

To protect their upcoming tablet, perhaps? It would be a marketing feature if it were the only one that would work with Google Docs.

Opera

Just trying it out now. Looks ok. "Tabs" is constantly clearing the old tabs because of lack of memory, but at least it knows what address you were at previously. Not sure if it's really an improvement over Safari, but I may hang onto it in case of being in a slow connection area.

Opera is a life saver in those places you have a rubbish 3G connection and no WiFi…. it works 100% better than Safari in that sort of Situation. I think of it as my emergency internet connection!

Shame it doesn't work with Google Docs, Guess I will stick with Docs to Go for now… Not sure how it will look on the iPad when I get though!

Apparently on Edge the difference is pronounced. Much faster on Opera.

This is why I will be using Safari when I'm on Wi-Fi and Opera when I'm not. Some of us that live in rural areas can appreciate the faster loading pages with Opera. Because I don't live near what AT&T considers a big town, I get to pay for 3g and only receive Edge.

If I may suggest something, use rememberthemilk.com Works great for my shopping lists.

Thanks, that actually looks pretty useful/suited to my meager yet strangely unmeetable needs. :) Do you use the Pro version?

No, I access the mobile site on my phone and the full desktop on my computer/iPad. Its definitely easier to create the list on the computer/ipad but in a pinch I can pull up the full site on my phone and create my shopping list that way
