So here are my still unanswered questions less than one week from launch.
i've been looking around, but I haven't been able to find anyone asking this:
1. Will the iPhone have an "Enable disk use" option like current ipods?
2. If so, will locally stored html or pdf files (or Word, for that matter) be accessible to Safari? In other words, will you be able to browse local files from the Safari address bar?
3. The new video shows PDF and Word files being read from the iPhone Mail app. If PDF files are on he iPhone internal memory, will there be a method for navigating to and viewing those outside of the Mail app?
4. Will the Notes app sync to anything on the Mac (or PC) desktop? Or will they just be available as files in a folder mounted on the desktop, as Notes are currently with the iPod?
5. Will the Notes app be able to read PDF or Word files stored locally?
I ask all this because I've given up on my Palm and I'd really like to have some basic reader functionality on the iPhone. I don't care if it has to be through Safari (in lieu of a proper Finder-type app) but would like to be able to access documents stored locally on the iPhone's memory.
