Hi all,

The title says it all.

Soon, I'll need to replace my aging (but reliable) Mac Mini. I'm hoping that the update (assuming that there is one) to the current Mac Pro will be substantial enough to provide 8+ years of future service.

For a long term investment, I'm sure you don't want a speed bump release, but rather next gen CPUs and GFX, right?

Intel and AMD decide, so to speak, when the next release is.

AndreeOnline,

Yes, indeed! =)

And if a lot of people's hopes are realized, Nvidia as well.

id be willing to bet there won't be Nvidia graphics in a nNP until CUDA goes away. Strategically, I can't see Apple allowing a meta-platform that isn't an open standard, or owned by them to be available to developers.
