Is it me or is it difficult to use the stock calculator app on the iPhone? I always seem to mess up if I'm calculating more than a few numbers! I don't know if I drag my fingers or something? I just don't get it. Thinking of resorting to an old hand held calculator at my work desk. Does any one else have this problem? Any luck with 3rd party apps? I would never think I'd have issues with it but I do.

Apple's Calculator is appallingly optimised for the larger iPhone models.

Fortunately you can delete it and use one of the many alternatives on the App Store that have the numeric keyboard actually within reach.

Also apps that allow you to use common operators like square and root without having to tip the phone sideways!

You might also like history and editing previous entries.

The stock calculator is just terrible in many ways. I like one called "Archimedes" but sadly I don't think it's being developed anymore.
