All iPads Stock shortages

Hi all,

So thinking of getting a new iPad Air so I can use Whiteboard on Teams and get ideas across a lot easier with all this working from home....especially now because I have a new role.

There seems to be stock shortage of the new Air's obviously because they are new, so I thought the basic iPad Pro but not available till November.

Does anyone know if anyone in the UK has release day stock?

Also I would love to hear what everyone things of this idea, is it any good? Also I like how I can edit documents with just writing on them, seems pretty cool!

Should I get one? £549 for the iPad + £300 for the magic keyboard £119 for the pencil that's about £1k! and dropped £1100 on 12 Pro! Oh Apple, why do this?!

COVID-19 is another reason for the shortages. People like you have been swooping up iPads like crazy due to WFH.

I went to Best Buy two weeks ago and got my 12.9” Pro the same day because the wait was too long on apple.com.

I can't speak for UK situation, but in the past I have walked in to an Apple Store and picked up a new release iPad (Air/Pro/Mini) on release day with no preorder. This year may be different due to pandemic related shortages up and down the supply chain. Time will tell.

Seems to be not only the iPad Air 4. Their new cheaper iPad and even their „old“ iPad Pro has delivery windows of Mid November on their Website

I live in Canada and was able to grab an in-store pickup pre-order on Monday. It seems like that's not available anymore for new orders at any Apple Store near me. Either they're sold out, or they're planning to release stock updates on launch day.

I also want to point out that the same day I made that order all the 2020 iPad Pros had been restocked and available for pick up.

Does anyone know what time the stock availability updates on the Apple Store website?
