im sorry, but all these threads saying oh no this happened on lion!! how do i fix it!! the reason you downloaded it was to report these bugs to apple, not to use the platform and complain because its an extremely buggy first beta of it. calm down and report it to apple, cus its likely theyll fix it on their next release.. nothing anybody else says (no offense guys) will work cus just let apple fix it, not find and plug in random Terminal commands.. sorry.. i just realized how much im raging.
 
no im not yelling at you.. im just saying the people who have lion and complain about something happening... for all means, keep asking questions... i love looking through all of what lion's gonna be...
 
As a user it bothers me because I know people will post here about bugs and in six months they still might be present in the final release.
 
the worst is the people who don't know how to install the freaking thing. Just leave this to the devs and wait for the final release.

It is quite easy to install though, if one uses the non Mac App Store version. Downloading the DMG and putting it onto a USB thumb drive using CCC might be the hardest part though.
 
All the Mac App Store does is download the file. You can find the Mac OS X Installer in your Applications folder when its done. Copy it from there and install on other machines.

You still agreed to the NDA, didn't you? That, or you pirated the software.

There is an entire Developer forum where people are authorized to discuss issues related to Lion (and it doesn't have to be programming related, anything about its features/bugs is fine), and of course the bug reporter that everyone should be using to report problems.

As a developer who actually needs early access to Lion, it bothers me to see people abuse the system because I am afraid Apple will decide to make it more difficult and/or expensive to obtain these things (kind of like it used to be).

Why do you think they released the beta to the public 4/5 months before official release. All these fanboys are abusing the non written agreement between the developer community, which is TRUST! .... I would not be surprised if devs barely get much time to test the software as in the past with Apple.

The fanboys don't realize that the more you test and debug, the better the chances the GM build will be less buggy for the fanboys.

Apple should have seriously not have lowered the developer prices. Mac Devs, should have to pay a minimum of $1000 to be a developer, that will ensure that the developer is invested and will not breach agreement. Same for the iOS devs, $1000 minimum.

Not to mention that will ensure that the quality of apps will be better. A serious developer would not have any qualms about that price.
