So every now and again I'll be in a conversation with someone in particular, and they may text me from another phone that I have for them in their contact card. If I understand correctly, iMessage will simply show "iMessage with <number>" when it changes the reply to go to the other number. However, every now and again I'll find this bugged out and it'll randomly switch numbers.

I'd personally rather keep 2 separate conversations going if it's two separate numbers. Is there any way to force this, other than creating a separate contact? This only happens with my iMessage app on my Macbook Pro. iMessage on my iPhone keeps the contact separate like I'd prefer.

Separate contacts for the same person.

So 'misses x' becomes 'misses x home' and 'misses x mobile' for example
