I just got my iPad today, and I've literally been playing with it all day. Then I went out for dinner with the girlfriend and some folks. As soon as I get back, it's back to playing with the iPad! I'm rather afraid my life as I know it will soon go down the drain as I proceed to simply consume information on my iPad 24 hours a day.

This is so fun. But for my own sanity, I hope the novelty wears out soon.

No worries, it always does even with the coolest products.

Soon it will become just another tool that you use in your daily life, vs. dedicated your life to it. ;)

If not, seek professional help. :p

There is a twelve step recovery program for iPad addiction when you admit to yourself you have a problem and are ready to deal with it.
You can find it on the app store :D

i feel you boy! but after 2 months i used my iPad, it's over, the excitement now starts again with my iPhone 4! :D

Bought wifi iPad on release day. Upgraded to 3G when it came out. Haven't let go of iPad once. :D

In some ways it will... But not completely. Welcome to the world of the iPad. :)

At least for myself I spend much less time watching TV than before the iPad. Also catching up on some reading of older titles that are free. And because of apps like IM+ and text+ I am in touch with my more with my keyboard bond friends (doesn't anyone pick up the phone and call anymore? lol

Not many times that my iPad is not with me, as is my camera. So friends are used to seeing me with my net-bag from Skooba. They and myself love seeing my recent pics on the larger screen than when I used my iphone for the same thing. And with the camera connection kit for the iPad on a recent trip out with friends, we were able to share the pics we shot as we had lunch afterwards.

At my job the iPad has allowed me to help my customers more efficiently - work in a camera store. Before the iPad I had to get the manuals out and search for the right page. Now with Goodreader I have many of the manuals on my iPad and can do a search to find the right page.

In the end you will know you have a "problem" when you would rather be with your iPad than with your gf and your friends. :)

You will stop using it obsessively soon enough but if the iPad is truly of good value to you then you will continue to use it regularly and that is a good thing.

Make out with your g/f and see if that helps you. If not, then you need to sell your ipad before it consumes you.

I'm on 2 months use now.

I don't put it down.

It is with me almost everywhere I go.

My wife has deemed it to be my 3rd child.

Your life, pre-iPad, is gone and will never be the same.

I still use it quite a bit. Maybe more now. Though my excitement shifted to the HTC Incredible, my iPad is still a great product that I'm glad I purchased.
