Hi, I listen to podcasts mostly and for some reason when I get in my car and bluetooth connects, it autoplays an album from the music app rather than resuming the podcast. Its rather annoying, and the album that plays is pretty crap, like it wouldn't be too annoying if it was a good album... 'ultimate cheesy party' for re. I thought about just deleting the album but I figured the must be a way to just get the podcast to resume rather than a random album I wasnt even playing.

I thought it might be because is was in a playlist. but that has just one album in. Interestingly I cant seem to remove anything from 'up next'

*edit* I have googled. and most of the information is either out of date (even though the articles are recent) or just plain made up.

Thanks for the help

As a dirty fix you could create a Shortcut/Automation that pauses Music playback as soon as the iPhone connects to your car via Bluetooth.
This still leaves manually resuming the podcast.
Shortcuts.app > Automation > + > Create Personal Automation > Bluetooth
When Bluetooth > 'YourCar' > Next > Add Action > 'Pause' on iPhone

I have the similar issue. Sometimes it works with the podcast, sometimes not. Very strange.
