iPhone Stop Safari Zooming in on Text Boxes

Hi, I have an iPhone 3GS and typing can be extremely laggy on Safari. I've found that this is mostly caused by Safari's tendency to zoom in on text-input boxes when I tap on them. When I manually zoom out, typing speed is perfectly tolerable.

Is there a Cydia tweak or any other ways of stopping Safari from automatically zooming in on text boxes?
