I have a folder open and than I choose go > Airdrop and it opens the Airdrop window in the folder that I just had open. Now I need to go back and find that folder and re-open it. How can you open something like this or a new folder without it replacing the existing open one?

Thanks,

Finder > Preferences > General, deselect "open folder in new tabs instead of new windows".

But as richard2 said, I personally like working with tabs.

Or can do Finder > File > New Finder Window (hot key: Command-N)

Or select the folder going into and right-click > Open in new Tab
