I have a small problem with my emails in iCloud, let me explain the situation briefly.

Last year I created a mobile me account and configured it to retrieve my work emails; this was done by adding/linking my work email account to mobileme. Therefore, I could receive both my « me.com » emails and my « work » emails directly to my MobileMe account. After the transition to iCloud, this is still working the same way and I receive emails from both addresses in my iCloud account.

I would like to stop receiving my work emails in my iCloud account, but I cannot delete the link to my work address because the option of adding another email address to iCloud does not exist anymore.

What can I do?

worked with an apple employee on apple's support line for over two hours... after all his tests and not being able to solve the problem, I got mysteriously disconnected!

Any help from MR would be appreciated?

Are you sure your work email isn't set to forward to your iCloud account?

Ya I am sure. That is the only answer apple continuously give me also. It's kind of funny because the exchange server at my university is very old and I have been "lobbying" for years to be able to forward messages, but unfortunately it can't... so it's kind of ironic...

The problem is that many (new) apple employees maybe do not remember that MobileMe could retrieve messages from other addresses. In that respect (and also in regards to syncing mailboxes, signatures, keychains, etc.) iCloud is very limited compared to MobileMe.

Hi,

I am experiencing the same problem myself since a few weeks now (well since I move from MobileMe to iCould).

Have you been able to solve this ?
Anyone else has an idea ?
Thx

No I have not been able to solve it. Actually it is not quite a problem, it is a feature that I was glad to enable with MobileMe but, because it has disappeared in iCloud, it cannot be disabled anymore.
