iPhone Stopping recurring notifications

I'm not sure if notifications is the right term. I receive multiple notifications / reminders about regular meetings from my old job. The notifications were set up in Outlook by someone else. All I did was accept. I don't have Outlook on my iPhone. Any idea how to prevent them from recurring?
