Do you all think it’s time for a jump in storage? I think all iPhones and even all iPads should in 2019 come only with 128, 256, and 512. And the ram on the 128 should be 4 gigs, and the two higher ones 6. Even though the cost may go up a bit with I am sure a more powerful chip next year it would make sale go up and longer term ownership. Or am I crazy?

All those changes would also come with a price increase. Are you prepared for that as well in 2019?

More ram would also impact battery life. iPhones with 4 GB are maintaining performance against around Android devices with 6gb.

To be honest you, haven't even seen the benefit of 4 GB of ram became most apps have to be compatible with older 5s and iPod Touch devices that still have 1GB or ram.

I just see apps getting more larger, OSi is getting bigger in size, and working harder. Also more people are using their phones in more creative ways, stuff like AR apps are going to need the ram especially with multitasking apps.

More ram could also make app developers lazy and code won't be as optimized.

yes i also think so you are crazy.

That is why there is a 512 option for those who need it. Always like more ram, but the phone performs better then any other phone on the market with 4 GB, so not really an issue right now.
