I am freaking out and on the brink of tears. I just got home from vacation today and took so many photos and videos that the memory was full. I went to open an app and it crashed so I decided to power down my Iphone 12 pro max to see if that would resolve the issue - completely forgetting I filled up the memory and that it was the likely culprit of the app crashing. now my phone keeps restarting and getting stuck at the Apple logo and I’m afraid all of the photos and videos I just took are going to be long gone. I had traveled to places where I had no cell service nor WiFi access so I didn’t get to upload everything to the iCloud yet. I deleted things that were on my iCloud but if my phone can’t boot up I know those files weren’t removed from my device. I can’t seem to activate recovery mode on my phone even though I’ve tried a dozen times. Any suggestions? Or did I capture all of these memories for no reason?

Unfortunately, that's not good.

Connect it to a computer and run iTunes / Finder and see if you can get as far as seeing the photos there. If not, try to run an iOS update. If that doesn't work I'd suggest taking it to an Apple store, as various internet searches say the next step is a restore which, unless you have a very recent backup, will lose data.
