So yesterday I finally jumped into the iOS 17 beta train. Everything is fine except my 3rd party apps such as facebook, instagram or any apps the data increases rapidly from minor usage. For example I deleted instagram last night and not even 24 hours the data usage is at 1g. When I was on iOS 16, it would stay low and the data usage increase was very slow. Is this happening to anyone else? I’ve rebooted my phone multiple times and no fix. Any suggestions?

Apps 'know' which OS they are on, so it could be that they send additional telemetry when running on beta software. Probably written somewhere in the EULA...

The thing is that this never happened when I was on iOS 16 betas at all. So in a matter of 24hrs the apps data will go easily over 1gig. Hopefully this is fixed with the next update. All of my most used apps are close to 1g in storage each and it’s eating my storage space

On the beta you have an app called Feedback which you can use to report bugs. I would definitely report this although you may find it is fixed in the next beta.
