I have about 35gb of music in iTunes and the files are on an external HDD. When I tried About This Mac, Storage, Manage, it shows 35gb of file use on my storage drive (128gb SDD):

The bar graph and the left-hand pane show this value, while the middle pane and "Get Info" show different values.

Here is my actual music library:

Anyone else ever seen this ? This is with Sierra and it's fully up-to-date.

I don't remember see this before so sounds like it may be a new bug - mine is also looking at iTunes content on another drive via an alias.

via an alias
I guess it's sloppy programming if it reads an aliased drive as "local", but I could see that happening. In my case though, I don't have any alias' created that point to my external storage.

I recently upgraded my MacBook Air 2013 and it did the same thing. I have all music on network drive. Didn't realize what was going on at first.

Love Sierra though!
