I downloaded season 4 of Dexter the other day, the HD version.

I know it comes with both HD and SD, and all I have to do is right click the episodes to pick between HD and SD.

However, I can't find a way to put the SD version onto my iPad. I right clicked the season, chose Version -> SD, but when I drag them into the iPad, the HD versions get loaded.

Any way to get the SD versions on there to save space?

Delete them from itunes but select "keep files." The go to your library and drag the sd version back to itunes then drag it to your ipad. I prefer the quality of the hd shows on my ipad.

I can barely tell the difference between the HD and sd versions on the ipad. The color/contrast is so good that it doesn't make much of a difference.

Before everyone calls me blind, I am photographer and experienced pixel-peeper. I can spot 720 v 1080 even from a good distance, but color reproduction adds a lot more to percieved reasolution over actual pixels. A fact apple thankfuly employs.

Have you tried the checkbox Prefer standard definition videos in the Options section at the bottom of the Summary page when you sync your iPad?
