So, here's one that's been bugging me. I'm setting up a relatively simple office network, and at the center of it is a Windows 2003 Server box with a RAID1 array and automated tape backup. All important data goes there, that way nobody needs to worry about their computer getting toasted, or thinking about keeping files backed up.
Problem: Though the PC versions of Eudora have no qualms about running with their data folders stored directly on a mounted server volume, the Mac version does--Eudora saves a lot of cache files with slashes in the names by default, which the server doesn't like.
Has anybody dealt with something like this? Is there an easy work-around to get Eudora to run with its user data folder directly on the server (outside of having a Mac disk image file on the server and mounting that from the Mac, which is cumbersome and something I'd rather avoid), or am I out of luck?
