I've never done a store pick up for a phone before. Just to verify: I'm I'm listed on the account as an authorized user on our AT$T account, I will have no issues picking up my phone next Friday? Hubby won't have to be with me????

How does the Apple store know I'm authorized?

Correct, as long as you are an authorized user on your AT&T account you can pick it up with no issues and do not need your husband to be present. All you need to know is the account holder's SSN. it will show on their device who's the account holder and who is the authorized user.

There are two authorized situations.

1. Authorized to pick up
2. Authorized account user.

1. Is obvious, you are authorized to pick up the order.
2. Gets tricky because it has to do with activation, technically, you should be an authorized user however the transaction has been made by the authorized user/account owner so it would be similar to hubby being there in the store and handing you the phone.

This is on my order confirmation from Apple -
iPhone Instructions
I ordered an iPhone with a wireless account. Who can pick it up?
If you ordered an iPhone with a new line, the primary account holder on your wireless plan must pick it up. The primary account holder is the person whose billing information is linked to the wireless plan.
If the iPhone is an upgrade for an existing wireless account, it can be picked up by the account holder or a person they authorize. Contact your wireless carrier to authorize people on the account.
If the iPhone is unlocked, it can be picked up by the person who placed the order or the Pickup Contact on the order. To learn more, visit How to Pick Up Your iPhone.
