iPhone 11 Pro Straight copy of Live photos

If I tether my iPhone to my laptop and just do a straight "import" of a load of photos to a folder on my laptop, will metadata and the "Live" function copy with the photos?

LOL I will ...I was just hoping someone might have done it before me (I can't possibly be the first?) and would be able to answer the question for me.
