Why have I not heard more about the Stands app for the iPhone? I downloaded it last week and have used it throughout this week on my workouts. As you run (or cycle) it records not only the calories, distance, pace, and time, but the GPS in the phone also shows you where you ran and records it onto your phone for replay later. I have found this app extremely useful, and am glad that I finally have the running app that I have been looking for. The only thing I am curious about is the accuracy of the app.....Does anyone know how accurate it is?

Get GPS Motion-X.

+1

GPS Motion-X is a truly amazing it has everything you need for tracking you every move and sharing with friends back home including adding pics to your tracks in different spots and keep these trips in memory. It's a bargain at 2.99.

Yeah, it surprises me too. I've been using this for over 6 months now, can't remember how I came across it originally, but the iPhone app was in it's infancy at that time, and it has been greatly improved over recent months. I've tracked quite a few cycles and runs and can confirm it's spot on in terms of accuracy, having compared the tracks to manually drawing the route on google maps. I was also surprised that it was almost identical to my Nike+ Sportband the other day when I went for a run. I wasn't expecting the Sportband to be as accurate!

I think it's a great product, both the iPhone app and the main website. They are constantly updating with improvements and new features, and they're very responsive to feedback/criticism.

I for one, love it. It's far better than the alternatives that I've tried, such as the in-built Nike+ app on my 3GS, or Runkeeper, DistanceMeter Pro, iMapMyRun/Ride, Trails, and others I've forgotten.
