Things that make you go "Hmmm ..."

This morning I was AirPlaying music to our HomePod from my 14PM, and my iPhone's AOD was displaying the album artwork and music controls (as expected).

What is very strange though is my wife put her 14PM on the table and I noticed that the same album artwork was showing on her locked iPhone's AOD, with the music play/pause controls ... what?!!! I stopped AirPlay but continued playing just on my iPhone and the artwork disappeared from her phone, but resumed once I started AirPlay again.

This is an interesting feature that I don't recall hearing about. The HomePod is up to date, and the 14PMs are both on 16.0.1. Now we're going to battle over what's playing in the kitchen, LOL!

No problem, just an interesting observation ... is this an iOS 16 thing?

Really? Maybe the AOD made it more obvious, but I don't recall that on our 12PM's running iOS 15.
