While reading a 'book', I was ready to put it away for the night, and tried to highlight the first word of a paragraph after the first block of a new chapter. Every time I touched, or clicked on that first word, the entire preceding paragraph was selected. I could chose the second word without any problem, but when I then tried to get that first word in that same, second, paragraph, I got the entire first paragraph again. It would not let me just select the first word in that second paragraph, no matter what I tried. It was bizarre. And, okay, this isn;t a show stopper bug, but wow, what the heck is going on to cause that kind of issue. It's so, odd... Extra points for the programmers for this one...
Also, and it was late at night so I'll have to try it again, the Books app seemed to be thinking about highlighting a block of text in an earlier page of the same book. It took it, guesstimating, over 5 seconds to show the highlight color. Not sure if it's related to the first issue. How could it be. Just weird, the Books app has some peculiarities...
I'll post the screen grab when I get back on it later today.
Oh, iPad Mini 6, latest iPadOS.
