Strange circle around the Apple Logo

I see a strange circle around the Apple logo of my M1 MBA. Any idea?

Holy thread bump Batman...

I got an M2 MBP yesterday and I have the exact same ring around the logo. I've tried wiping it off with a lens wipe but no joy. Before I try to use alcohol wipes, any other ideas?

Mine looks identical and its box fresh. You can only see the ring under certain lighting conditions, but its there...

Strange. Does anyone own one that doesn't have it?

Could be that the robot-grabber-thingy in production is leaving a mark. "Certain lighting conditions" may not be met at the factory!
