My daughter's cloud thinks it is me!

my daughter has her own account - everything works well on her MacBook Pro
but whenever she logs in to iCloud.com (from any computer) it shows my name next to her photo - its definitely her account with her mail, contacts and so on but displays my name on the start page! Emptying the browser cache doesn't help.

A coupe of years ago her email address was an alias of my main .Mac ID - can it in some way have something to do with it?

I would ask apple but they don't seem to like talking to users outside of the confides of the genius bar so thanks in advance to anyone who knows how to fix this! :)

Yup, it more than likely has something to do with your alias. Just have her delete that iCloud account (unless the email addy is important) on an iOS device. She'll be able to save all of her contacts and such as the iOS will ask if you want to keep the data. Then have her create a new iCloud account with her info.

If the email address is important to her, you may try contacting Apple Support to see what they suggest you do. I'm not familiar enough with alias so I wouldn't know where to begin.

Thanks for that HazyCloud I will try contacting apple - (her old alias was a completely different name *scratches head*) don't really want to loose her current acc as its perfect. I'll post how I get on here - ta!

muchas gracias swordfish5736!!:D
hit the spot - now why didn't I think of that?
For whatever reason there was my name in her account settings??

I can now stop calling her 'Barry'
