Just recently, two of my Apple TV showed up in HomeKit as “No Response”, not at same time, but about a week apart. In Home App, under Settings->Home Hubs & Bridges, the icon changed as a speaker instead of Apple TV. However, it seems still function as usual. When first one became no response, I restarted several times, and even updated to TV Os 18.4 beta, it still showed as no response. I thought this one might had problem, so I removed it from Home. Then today, the second Apple TV showed as exactly the same, since this one is my Preferred Hub as I manually set it, nothing had impacted my automation and Home didn’t indicate that “preferred hub unavailable…”, yet it just saying no response. again, the hub icon changed to a speaker. The only thing changed recently was my phone and other devices were updated to iOS 18.3.2, and all Apple TVs had been on 18.3. Has anyone experienced such strange issue?

Sounds like the dreaded “Phantom Hub” bug. Glad you resolved it. Some of us weren’t so lucky and the only fix was to nuke HomeKit. Keep an eye out. It may reappear.

I had “Phantom Hub” bug before, this one was a bit different, it showing no response, but if you go to the Room it was configured, it is still there and function as normal, and most importantly, it still can be removed without leaving a “Phantom Hub” behind and need to wait 45+ days to finally disappear. Will definitely keep eyes on it.
