This question belongs equally here and in the iOS app area, but nonetheless: having strange behavior with the Mail apps for Big Sur And iOS 14.4.2.

I was searching for an email from early December last year that I knew existed either in an inbox or a folder or under my iCloud mail account. I have mail enabled for iCloud on both my iPhone and Mac mini. When searching on my Mac mini with Big Sur, using a keyword specific to that email and only that email, the message does not show up. However when searching on my iPhone, it does show up and the email header tells me what folder it’s in. But when I go to that folder either on the iPhone or Mac mini, the email is not there.

Another words, I see the email only when searching on my iPhone. I forwarded that email to myself. Now, when searching on both the iPhone and Mac mini, only that email that I forwarded shows up in the search results. I can no longer find the original email that I forwarded it on my iPhone when searching.

Has anybody else experienced strange similar behavior with missing emails when searching?
