I have a iPhone X that I got a couple of months ago. Using the same sim that I’ve had for almost 3 years. No problem with that.
I also, about a month ago, got a iPhone 6S (used) that I want to try and just test for the size, since I’m kind of considering getting a iPhone 8 (not 8 Plus).
Anyway the 6S had been completly reset (started with brand new setup with the power on screen displaying “hello” exactly as expected). The phone was setup as new, not restored from a backup. I got another sim (different phone number of course than the number on my X) and it works fine. I use my same AppleID on the 6S as I use on my X.
The strange thing is that when i get a sms text from someone and it’s sent to the phone number of my X, the message shows up in iMessage on both the X and the 6S.
Any idea(s) why ?
[doublepost=1516763044][/doublepost]Need to edit, this behaviour only happens when it’s another iPhone sending me a sms. I had iMessage turned off on my X but turned on In the 6S

yeah probably using the same iCloud account on both? messages are probably getting forwarded to the old phone via email.
