I noticed something very strange with Navigon. Sometimes, when I open Navigon the volume will be very low even though in settings the volume is set all the way up. Adjusting it has no affect. If I reset my phone and go back into settings I see that the volume is set to a very low level. I can then adjust it to the desired loudness level. This has happened twice to me now. Any else?

I had something similar happen. I just bought Navigon yesterday and was testing last night. I had to go out for a while and I set three destinations on a route. I was out of the car for a while after the second destination, so I closed Navigon and did some other things on the phone. When I got back into the car to head to the last stop, I noticed I wasn't getting any audio instructions. So I went into settings and saw that the volume was all the way down. Of course, I hadn't touched the settings, so I just assumed it was a bug. Kind of annoying, but not really a big deal as long as you know to check it.

Any chance that your phones volume is low?

Good point but if it was why would the volume in the Navigon show that it is set to max? I would imagine this is an absolute volume setting. It could be a relative setting (relative to phone volume setting) in which case your question makes sense.

This would go under the iPhone Forum. Just for future reference next time. ;)

It would? To me this is an app related question. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the tip and I want to make sure I post to the right forum. I am just asking to make sure I understand.

In your situation, the volume in Navigon somehow get adjusted lower. In mine, the volume still showed that it was set to max even though the audio was very low. Strange.

Yeah... but it has nothing to do with the App Store. :p

I think if it has to do with an app, then it has to do with the app store. People are always discussing problems/features/issues with apps here. This doesn't seem to be any different. Just the way I see it.

The bar in Navigon is just how much volume Navigon will put out in comparison to the iPhone's current max volume. So, if you iPhone's volume is at 2 'dots' and your Navigon bar is about 50%, then Navigon is really only putting out 1 'dot' of volume. Just like if Navigon's volume bar is set to 100% with the phone still at 2 'dots', you will only get 2 'dots' worth of volume.
