I'm having odd networking issues on my late 2013 Macbook Pro. I'm running El Capitan.
The problem is that the internet can be very sluggish. For example, it will sometimes fail to send an email (using Thunderbird). The odd thing is that I don't have the problem in a Windows 10 VM running under Parallels on the *same* machine. It is, obviously, using the same network hardware and, to some extent, the same underlying settings.
A specific example is that I can easily do a traceroute to the smtp server in Windows but it fails under OSX. (I've also installed a Mint Linux VM on my Macbook and have the same network problems.)
Can anyone throw any light on this?
